Role Summary 

The Management Consultant/Business Analyst will provide expert analysis and strategic advice to support ICGC UK/Europe’s organizational development, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. This role requires analytical expertise combined with understanding of faith-based organizational dynamics and ministry priorities. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Analysis and Planning 

  • Conduct organizational assessments and capability reviews 
  • Analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities 
  • Support development of strategic plans and ministry initiatives 
  • Conduct market research and environmental scanning 
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives and investments 
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making 

Process Improvement and Optimization 

  • Map and analyze business processes across church operations 
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements 
  • Design and implement operational improvements 
  • Develop standard operating procedures and documentation 
  • Support change management initiatives 
  • Monitor implementation and measure improvement outcomes 

Organizational Development 

  • Assess organizational structure and recommend improvements 
  • Support organizational design and restructuring projects 
  • Conduct capability assessments and skills gap analysis 
  • Develop organizational development frameworks 
  • Support culture change and transformation initiatives 
  • Facilitate strategic planning workshops and sessions 

Project Management and Implementation 

  • Manage strategic projects from initiation to completion 
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements 
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams 
  • Monitor project progress and report to stakeholders 
  • Manage project risks and issues 
  • Ensure projects deliver intended benefits 

Data Analysis and Reporting 

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret organizational data 
  • Develop KPIs and performance metrics 
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools 
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis 
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership 
  • Support evidence-based decision-making 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Conduct stakeholder consultations and interviews 
  • Facilitate workshops and focus groups 
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Present recommendations to senior leadership 

Ministry Integration 

  • Integrate biblical principles of stewardship, accountability, and excellence into organisational analysis and strategic recommendations. 
  • Balance operational efficiency with pastoral sensitivity and the unique needs of ministry work. 
  • Support ministry leaders in implementing systems and structures that promote spiritual growth and organisational effectiveness. 
  • Ensure all consultancy activities align with Christian values and ICGC’s mission. 
  • Collaborate with the pastoral and administrative teams to ensure recommendations support both ministry and operational objectives. 

 

Essential Requirements 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a closely related field (RQF Level 6+). 
  • Essential: 3–5 years’ experience as a Management Consultant, Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar advisory role. 
  • Essential: Demonstrated experience conducting business process reviews, organisational diagnostics, or strategic planning projects. 
  • Essential: Proven ability to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making. 
  • Essential: Experience preparing business reports, performance dashboards, process maps, or strategic recommendations. 
  • Desirable: Experience working in a charity, ministry, or faith-based organisational context. 
  • Desirable: Professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile BA, Lean Six Sigma, change management, or similar. 
  • Desirable: Completion of ICGC ABC Bible Class (Ministry Level) or equivalent theological orientation. 

 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Strong strategic planning and organisational development capability. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. 
  • Business process mapping, workflow optimisation, and organisational systems analysis. 
  • Stakeholder engagement and change management experience. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel, business intelligence tools, or data software. 
  • Project management capability with the ability to deliver complex assignments to deadline. 
  • Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring. 
  • Ability to develop operational frameworks, KPIs, and reporting dashboards. 
  • High level of digital proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 and analytical tools. 
  • Creative problem-solver able to identify gaps and recommend innovative solutions.

Skill Level and Salary Information (UKVI Compliance) 

  • SOC Code: 2431 – Management Consultants and Business Analysts 
  • Skill Level: RQF Level 6 (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) 
  • Annual Salary: £46,000 per annum (based on 37.5 hours per week) 
  • Hourly Rate: £23.59 
  • Going Rate: Meets the standard going rate for SOC 2431 

 

Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) 

Under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, being a practising Christian is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for this role. 

The postholder will be expected to: 

  • Support and promote the Christian values and ethos of ICGC. 
  • Participate in corporate prayer, ministry retreats, and devotional activities. 
  • Model biblical principles of stewardship, integrity, and excellence. 
  • Serve as an example of Christian conduct and character. 

 

Working Conditions 

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 
  • Location: ICGC London Offices, with occasional travel across the UK/Europe for ministry assessments or project work. 
  • Occasional Requirements: Evening and weekend engagement for ministry meetings, leadership retreats, or project deadlines.
